Community

Congregation Agudas Achim is a community in every sense of the word: we encourage each other in faith, friendship, curiosity, and action. We celebrate together and help each other through difficult times. We work together to guide and sustain our congregation, and to honor and preserve the legacy of our founders, members, and families. A few of our members shared reflections on how the congregation supported them during the pandemic. You can see that video here.

We encourage — and rely on — every member to become involved in the synagogue community, and there’s an opportunity for every age, taste, and level of commitment.

  • Committees help to organize and manage social and administrative aspects of the synagogue, including fundraising, membership, community support, and education.
  • Social groups are all about fun, friendship, and learning.
  • Teen groups help maintain connections with friends and the community after bar, bat, or b’mitzvah.
  • Musical groups bring people together to sing and play music, including during some services.
