Congregation Agudas Achim has secured an exciting group of interim spiritual leaders for the coming year. Regular services will be covered by two people, Hebrew College rabbinical student Sara Klugman and Rabbi Greg Hersh. Reb Ezra Weinberg will return to lead High Holiday services with Sara as cantor.

Sara Klugman
Sara will be our principal spiritual leader beginning in August, leading three services a month, working with Hebrew School students, and providing pastoral care. She is entering her fifth year at Hebrew College. Her past experience includes being a student rabbi at Temple Shir Tikva in Wayland and at Center College in Kentucky, and a chaplaincy intern at Beverly Hospital. She also has a M.Ed. from Harvard in Arts in Education and has taught and developed educational programs at several organizations, often incorporating the arts as a way of exploring Jewish culture and liturgy. The Board met with Sara on May 22nd, and we were impressed with her warmth, positive spirit, and commitment to Reconstructionism.

Greg Hersh
Rabbi Greg, who will lead about one service a month, has been rabbi since 2016 at Temple Emmanuel in Wakefield, a Reconstructionist synagogue. He graduated from Reconstructionist Rabbinical College in 2016 and has a BA in religion (Judaism) and philosophy from Washington University in St. Louis. Rabbi Greg is also the owner of Burning Bush Adventures, which leads wilderness programs.
Finally, we are delighted to welcome back Reb Ezra for High Holidays! His presence will lend a welcome familiarity to the bimah at this important time of year.

Ezra Weinberg
We want to thank Donna Cohen-Avery, Toni Tinberg, Lee Judson, and Glenn Gruber, the Board members who worked swiftly to find these service leaders after we were unable to hire a new permanent rabbi. Their efforts have enabled a stable and reliable arrangement of support for our community.
Please be in touch with any Board member if you have questions, and please join us in welcoming Sara, Rabbi Greg, and Reb Ezra!
