About the rabbi
Prior to rabbinical school, Rabbi Wechterman worked as a journalist for the Jewish Monthly and as a freelance writer. She has degrees in journalism and international relations from Boston University. Rabbi Wechterman lives with her husband, David Nerenberg, their
son, Avi and their daughter, Sharon. The entire family is delighted to be a part of the Agudas
Achim community. |

Rabbi
Wechterman graduated from the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College in
2000. Before coming to Agudas achim, she served as Director of Congregational
Services and MidAtlantic regional Director for the Jewish Reconstructionist
Federation in Philadelphia. Rabbi Wechterman has served as student and
visiting rabbi to communities in the Virgin Islands, Salt Lake City,
Utah, Austin, Texas and throughout the Philadelphia area. Agudas Achim
is her first full-time pulpit position.
